Christmas Breakfast

This year our celebration took place in the morning so we had a Christmas brunch instead of our usual lunch.  It was fun to come up with a new menu and new recipes to try.  Everyone was great about bringing in dishes to share, too.

Our menu consisted of:
  •  Breakfast Pizza
  • Egg Casserole
  • French Toast Casserole
  • Ham
  • Bacon
  • Fruit
  • Bagels
  • Fruit Pizza
  • Banana Bread
  • Cinamon Cake
  • Pumpkin Bread
  • all kinds of juices
One of the new things I made was the Breakfast Pizza.  No one seemed to ever hear of it before.  It was a big hit.  I got the recipe from  I am going to share it here on the blog so others can use it, too.

Breakfast Pizza
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 (8 oz) pkg. refrigerator crescent rolls
1 c. frozen loose package hash brown potatoes
1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese (4 oz)
5 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Cook sausage until browned; drain.  Separate rools, place on ungreased 12 in pizza pan. Press over bottom and sides. Spoon on sausage, sprinkle over this the thawed potatoes. Top with cheddar cheese. Beat egg, milk, salt, and pepper.  Pour over all. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
